  • Soft tissue mass
  • Solid
  • Irregularly shaped
  • Heterogeneous
  • Urethral wall thickening
  • Narrowing, displacement, and/or obstruction of the urethra
  • May enhance with IV contrast

Etiology:

  • Unknown
  • Urethral carcinoma is associated with HPV and recurrent STIs

Epidemiology:

  • Typically presents after age 60
  • More common in males
  • More common in patients with African ancestry

Presentation:

  • Hematuria
  • Dysuria
  • Frequent urination
  • Palpable mass
  • Pelvic pain

Prognosis:

  • The 5-year relative survival rate is about 50%
