Pelvic Hematoma CT Findings
- High attenuation
- Heterogeneous
- “Swirled” or patchy appearance
- Mass effect
- Can be extension of abdominal bleed into the pelvis

Other Information About Pelvic Hematoma
Etiology:
- Trauma
- Surgery, including hysterectomy
- Childbirth (both vaginal and cesarean)
Epidemiology:
- Common
Presentation:
- Pelvic pain and/or discomfort
- Palpable mass
- Skin discoloration
Prognosis:
- Pelvic hematomas are benign and usually resolve on their own
- More severe cases may require surgical intervention
