  • Solid, well-defined mass
  • Hypoattenuating
  • Homogeneous
  • Variable enhancement
  • Adenopathy in abdomen can simulate lymphoma
  • CT is typically not used for diagnosis but for staging which involves CT of the chest, abdomen and pelvis

Etiology:

  • Unknown

Epidemiology:

  • Rare
  • Typically presents between the 4th-7th decades of life
  • More common in people of European ancestry, particularly northern European

Presentation:

  • Palpable mass
  • Heaviness of the perineum
  • Ache of the perineum

Prognosis:

  • The 5-year relative survival rate is over 95% for seminoma
