Chest CT Appearances
Pulmonary Artery Hypertension (PAH) CT Findings
- PA diameter is greater than 29mm
- Segmental artery to bronchus ratio is greater than 1
- Ratio of diameter of main PA to that of aorta is greater than 1.2
- May have mosaic perfusion pattern
- Reflux of contrast into prominent IVC and hepatic veins

Etiology:
- Unknown
- May be genetic
Epidemiology:
- More common in females
- Typically presents in the 4th-7th decades of life
Presentation:
- Dyspnea
- Fatigue
- Chest pain
- Palpitations
- Weakness
- Dizziness
- Syncope
- Edema
Prognosis:
- Poor; patients typically succumb within 2-3 years after diagnosis
