Cavitary Lesion CT Findings
- Gas-filled space
- Low CT attenuation (typically less than -100 HU)
- Can be seen within a pulmonary consolidation, mass, or nodule

Etiology:

- Pulmonary embolism
Epidemiology:
- Can present at any age
Presentation:
- May be asymptomatic
- Cough
- Dyspnea
Prognosis:
- Prognosis depends on the cause of the cavitary lesion
