Etiology:

  • Congenital

Epidemiology:

  • Presents shortly after birth

Presentation:

  • Cough
  • Choking and/or vomiting
  • Cyanosis
  • White, frothy bubbles in the mouth or drooling

Prognosis:

  • The survival rate of esophageal atresia with surgery is around 90-95%
