Gastric Ulcer CT Findings
- Focal wall thickening
 - Adjacent fat stranding
 - Visualization of ulcer crater
 - Can lead to perforation with extra-mucosal air
 

Other Information About Gastric Ulcers
Etiology:
- H. pylori
 - Prolonged NSAID use
 - Associated with Zollinger-Ellison
 
Epidemiology:
- Typically present in patients over 60
 
Presentation:
- Typically asymptomatic
 - Abdominal pain, particularly postprandial
 - Indigestion
 
Prognosis:
- Gastric ulcers can be treated with medication changes or new medication
