Gastric Lipoma CT Findings
- Well circumscribed
 - Fat attenuation (-70 to -120 HU)
 - May have ulceration centrally although usually in tumors under 6cm
 - Always benign
 

Other Information About Gastric Lipoma
Etiology:
- Unknown
 
Epidemiology:
- Rare
 - Typically present in the 5th-6th decades of life
 
Presentation:
- Typically asymptomatic
 - Large tumors can cause GI bleed, gastric outlet obstruction and abdominal pain
 
Prognosis:
- Gastric lipomas are benign
 - Complications from large tumors can be life-threatening
