- Well-defined solitary lesions
- Heterogeneous density
- Septations
- Foci with high attenuation
- Typically includes debris, fat, keratin, and/or cholesterol
- May have calcifications

Etiology:
- Congenital
Epidemiology:
- Rare
- More common in females
- More common in children and young adults
- Average age at presentation is 17 years
Presentation:
- Typically asymptomatic
- Abdominal pain and/or discomfort
- Nausea and/or vomiting
- Palpable mass
Prognosis:
- Epidermoid cysts are benign
- Patients with symptoms may want to consider surgery
