  • Well-defined or diffusely infiltrative
  • Enlarged spleen
  • Areas of low and high attenuation
  • May have calcifications

Etiology:

  • Unknown

Epidemiology:

  • Very rare
  • More common in males
  • Typically presents during the 5th-7th decades of life

Presentation:

  • Typically asymptomatic
  • Abdominal pain
  • Fatigue
  • Weight loss
  • Early satiety or anorexia
  • Spontaneous splenic rupture may occur

Prognosis:

  • Median survival rate is about 6 month-1 year
