Other Information About Mirizzi Syndrome

Etiology:

  • Gallstone obstruction

Epidemiology:

  • Occurs in less than 1% of patients with gallstones

Presentation:

  • Abdominal pain and/or distension
  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Jaundice
  • Fever

Prognosis:

  • Can be corrected with surgery with a good prognosis
