Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) CT Findings
- Dilated hepatic artery
- AVMs
- Diffuse parenchymal telangiectases (enlarged blood vessels)
- Portal hypertension
- Also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu
Other Information About Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT)
Etiology:
- HHT is inherited
Epidemiology:
- Anyone with a family history is able to genetically inherit HHT
Presentation:
- Epistaxis
- Telangiectasia (“spider veins” and/or red spots on the skin)
- Anemia
- Headaches
Prognosis:
- HHT cannot be treated but its symptoms can be managed
