The diagnosis and treatments for patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) can be approached from two different directions: the question about “anatomy/morphology” versus the “functional” myocardial imaging is sometimes emotionally debated by the experts and may be overly simplistic. As summarized by Douglas and Daubert (1), unsettled discussions about the importance of coronary anatomy versus function have hindered the acceptance of coronary CT angiography for routine management of CAD. The study by Li and colleagues (2) as published in this issue of Radiology represents an important step into this direction by creating new and much-needed evidence.
