RadioGraphics is introducing a new article feature in which authors of selected manuscripts will be asked to provide reporting guidelines that specify how to report a disease condition. Incorporation of such guidelines into a structured report, one that is standardized through a combination of form and language, has been shown to improve communication and guide disease management (1–4). By utilizing the RSNA’s RadReport (www.radreport.org) and RadElement (www.radelement.org) frameworks, authors can facilitate readers’ incorporation of the information presented in an article into clinical practice. This editorial describes how RadioGraphics authors should communicate reporting guidelines to the RadioGraphics editorial team in the form of structured reports and common data elements (CDEs). The editorial team will use this communication to build a structured report and CDEs within the RadReport and RadElement frameworks, which will be linked to each article.
