    Abstract

There are an ever-increasing number of approaches to repair the thoracic aorta depending on the individual patient's specific pathology and needs. This leads to increasingly complex decision-making by imagers to determine normal versus abnormal postoperative imaging appearances. Familiarity with the common techniques and complications is critical for quality follow-up care. In this article, we will cover common indications for aortic repair, guidelines and techniques for imaging surveillance, common surgical techniques, and their complications.
