We read with great interest the article by Ferres et al [1], which emphasizes the opportunities and advantages of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative pretrained transformer (GPT) models in radiology departments and for widespread clinical use. We acknowledge that AI has overcome multiple human tests, such as the Turing test, the Uniform Bar Examination, and the United States Medical Licensing Examination, and has been shown to be a productivity tool in diagnostic imaging. Although we agree with many key points, we differ on others and would like to provide an alternative perspective on this matter.
