    Endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms with stent-grafts I a new catheter-based , imaging-guided procedure that has the potential to redefine the traditional approach to the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm. In addition, this technology crosses traditional practice boundaries and is the focus of intense entrepreneurial activity by the medical-industrial complex. Imaging plays a major role in the procedural patient evaluation, implantation of stent-grafts for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm in the United States, with emphasis on the clinical aspects important to the radiology community as a whole.
