OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this article is the identification of recurrent tumor of bone utilizing radiography, CT, and MRI.

CONCLUSION: Radiography is frequently used to identify recurrence of treated bone tumors through findings such asosteolysis, cortical reactions, and characteristic matrix mineralization. CT can help evaluate the character of osseous and calcific abnormalities. Comparison with prior radiographs can be crucial for differentiation between postoperative alterations of bone and subtle signs of recurrence. MRI can identify soft-tissue masses and is useful for imaging patients with metallic hardware when it is optimized to decrease artifacts.
