| Peritoneal
cavity:
3D Rendering demonstrates contrast in the peritoneal cavity. This
contrast was placed by us as part of a study to look at distribution
fluid in a patient who has ovarian cancer, prior to peritoneal chemotherapy.
The key is good distribution through the peritoneal cavity. |

| Lipoma
of the Retroperitoneum: The patient presented with flank pain
and on plain film there appeared to be a mass in the left lower quadrant.
Coronal and 3D CT images define a mass in the left retroperitoneum
displacing the descending colon. The masses are of fat attenuation
and is consistent with a lipoma. Please note that it can be difficult
distinguishing lipomas from liposarcomas but in this case there was
clear definition of th eprocess representing a lipoma. |
