 | I contacted GE Healthcare which is the manufacturer to get the information from the source and the short answer is no but here is the deailed answer courtesy of Valerie Stancill, BS, RT (R), Medical Information Officer for GE Healthcare; “Thank you for contacting Medical Affairs regarding the proper use of Omnipaque™ and Visipaque™ in our 50cc bottles and the use of contrast left over in the original bottles. Omnipaque is the only nonionic, low osmolar iodinated contrast media indicated for oral use. Omnipaque and Visipaque in all presentations with the exception of our 500ml Pharmacy. Bulk Package is for single use only. As indicated in our package insert, dilutions of Omnipaque for oral use should be prepared just prior to use and any unused portion/s should be discarded after the procedure. Visipaque indication states once transferred into other delivery systems product should be used immediately. Please refer to the package insert for full prescribing information. GE Healthcare cannot recommend the use of products outside of the package labeling. |
