Selected readings

Nearly all of the 3D images in the CT Angiography Atlas were generated using volume rendering technique. This technique as implemented in real-time on the Siemens Virtuoso workstation or its earlier prototypes provides a dedicated 3D rendering environment. Although volume rendering is not the only 3D reconstruction technique available, it is the most accurate and can routinely produce the images with the highest fidelity to the original dataset. In order to understand 3D rendering and especially volume rendering a list of our publications on the subject is provided. Links to abstracts and the full text and images of several of the original articles are also provided for your review.
